Photographed this beauty {Claire Keane} yesterday, super mom, artist illustrator, children’s book author, art show in Paris and Disney movies are just a few of her amazing accomplishments.

I was fortunate enough to get the amazing Razi Wilson to photograph me in my home.

"Mme. d’Aulnoy did not like constraints. In particular, she did not like the manner in which women were treated and compelled to follow patriarchal codes, and as we know, she did not even stop short of abetting execution or murder of men she considered unworthy or tyrannical. All her tales are filled with violence and violation of some kind or another that must be resolved, and in some cases, like ‘The Ram,’ the resolution is not entirely satisfying. D’Aulnoy’s tales are nightmarish because the fairies themselves are not always in agreement with one another, and thus humans must live under laws that they do not always understand and under fairy powers who are arbitrary, not unlike Louis the XIV and his ministers. The only saving grace in the tales is love, or tendresse, that is, true natural feelings between a man and woman, and these feelings are constantly tested in extreme if not macabre ways. D’Aulnoy’s repertoire of tortures and bestial transformations was immense. She stopped at nothing to make her lovers suffer, making their rescue all the sweeter."
